Zach Hughes is a marine ecologist and President of Salus Resources, Inc. He leads a small team providing services to federal agencies for acoustic modeling and support under the Endangered Species Act. Salus is also providing support to other businesses in the development of NEPA documentation and submission of Marine Mammal Protection Act Incidental Harassment Authorizations. Zach has completed more than 200 environmental impact analyses under the ESA, NEPA, and MMPA for projects ranging from individual permit actions, watershed scale restoration projects, to port expansion projects. He specializes in improving communications between government agencies and project proponents to facilitate faster project approval and improved conservation outcomes while managing budget constraints.
