Golf: Hoakalei Country Club

Designed by “The Big Easy” Ernie Els, Hoakalei challenges the most skilled golfer while also catering to recreational players. Measuring a whopping 7,413 yards from the back tees, Hoakalei is the longest course in Hawaii for those wanting to test their limits! The regular tees measure 6,226 yards for members wishing to have a relaxing round with pristine course conditions.

There are 112 strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, and risk-reward shots are challenging but extremely satisfying. Mr. Els designed this course to suit every golfer, whether amateur or professional, with beautiful water features—some being troublesome. The hole layout has been configured in conjunction with the trade winds, which means Hoakalei is the type of course that could play different from day to day.

Hoakalei has 9 water features that reflect the clear skies of Ewa Beach. Water comes into play on 13 of the 18 holes providing a beautiful and yet challenging course.
