Maripas Jacobo, a proud Oxnard native, has dedicated her life to empower her community through education, workforce development, and sustainability. As a Community Outreach Specialist at the Port of Hueneme, she plays a key role in advancing the $2 million S.P.E.E.D. workforce development initiative, which connects local talent with high-impact career pathways. Maripas also leads the Port’s Global Trade & Logistics high school course, inspiring and equipping the next generation of leaders with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a global economy. Her work reflects a deep commitment to creating equitable opportunities and a more resilient future for Ventura County.
