After obtaining his M.Sc in International Transport at the University of Wales Collage Cardiff, Peter began his career in the maritime industry at a local port agency business operating in the Bristol Channel. In 1996, he moved to London to work with Gearbulk Shipping, which was followed by assignments in Indonesia 1999 – 2003, brief jaunts in Melbourne, Australia and Tauranga New Zealand before being transferred to Vancouver in 2004. In 2007, he moved to the Shanghai office of Gearbulk, and in 2008 moved back to Vancouver to take up a position with Pacific Basin, where he is currently the General Manager.
Peter has also served as President of the ICS Canada Branch and is a past Board Member of the Chamber of Shipping. Currently, he sits on the Board of the BC Maritime Employers Association.
