Mr. Korthuis has over 20 years’ experience in the design, production, and technical properties of marine concrete production, specifically for the marine dock and pre-cast industry. Keith joined Bellingham Marine as the Project Development Manager for the West Division in 2022.
In 2001 Keith began his career in the ready-mix concrete industry in sales and was quickly promoted to the position of sales manager in 2003. In 2012 Keith became the general manager for the Ferndale Ready Mix & Gravel operation, a sub-division of Heidelberg Materials. While in these roles, Keith supplied and oversaw all of Bellingham Marine’s concrete production from its Northwest Division. In 2020 Keith transitioned into independent consulting, using his knowledge and expertise of ready-mix concrete’s properties and characteristics to assist architects, engineers, and contractors with their mix design specifications, testing, and troubleshooting. Keith’s vast experience with marine concrete and his unique historical relationship with Bellingham Marine’s West Coast Division has proven and utilized his understanding of the different types of marine concrete needed to meet the harsh environmental conditions the Pacific region can bring.
